With the verb 会います should I use を or に?

I’d assumed it would be を, but I’ve had some Lang-8 corrections saying I should use に?

I haven’t seen that verb ending before. Is it covered in textfugu or should look into it elsewhere?

Ok, I’ve taken the plunge and started using Lang-8. Confusion has ensued.

Can anyone assist with the below?

*Straight away I’ve received differing corrections.

I put up: 昨日はフットボールを遊びました.

And got these two corrections:

- 昨日はフットボールで遊びました。
-昨日はフットボールをして遊びました。

Can anyone explain the difference between these corrections? (i.e. between the use of で & をして?)

And why was the original incorrect?

*I also put up: 私も魚を食べました

And got this correction: 私は魚も食べました.

I thought 私も was ok (pretty sure I’ve seen it before); it’s not ok?!

I’ve just started there too and have the same issue. Plus there’s the issue of getting different corrections for the same sentence.

Given my Japanese is poor, and often their English is poor, it is hard to always ask for explanations.

Any advice people have from their experiences?

To be honest, I’ve taken to following the Bundesliga over the last few years and enjoy that a lot more.

Different for everyone, but I found learning hiragana and katakana by writing but not learning kanji by writing to work for me.

There aren’t that many characters in hiragana and katakana unlike kanji.

Plus for me, learning with mnemonics works well with kanji but not with hiragana and katakana (there ‘s too little to work with and learning a sound compared to learning a meaning undermines the method a bit).
