Today I reached 500 unique sentences in my deck. Hurray! All collected from various sources, some from native materials and some from study materials. What’s the goal? 10,000? I have a ways to go…

I’m like you; a two week visit isn’t sufficient, though I do believe it’s better than nothing! I hope you get the opportunity to experience every day life in Japan.

Today I listened to two jpod101 lessons, zeroed out my Anki cards again (feels great to be caught up!), and added some additional sentences to my sentence deck. I should reach 500 sentences sometime next week.
Hi Tom! Welcome! How cool that you get to study abroad next spring. That’s great motivation to commit to a study program! Textfugu will get you far in that time if you stick with it. :)

In the meantime, the picture (even if appropriate in the off-topic section), is not appropriate in the main forum for learning Japanese. Any Japanese learner, looking at a thread in a forum for learning the Japanese language, should not be exposed to pictures taken up a girl’s skirt.

Yeah, we wracked up quite a bit in student loans. We pay almost $350 a month and that’s just the minimum payment. It’ll take 20 years to pay off at that rate. Once we buy some, ahem, furniture for this new place of ours, we’ll be throwing money at the student loans to make them go away.

I think everything looks great! The first time I logged in, the font seemed like someone had grabbed it and squished it all together. But now it looks perfect.
