Unfortunately not; I think the only think you can do is email Koichi. There might be contact information for Hashi somewhere. He would be able to put a bug in Koichi’s ear…
You can learn a lot in two weeks! Good luck with your studying! :) :)

Kathy, welcome! :) I can see how that would be too fast, not enough time to solidify one concept before moving on to the next. I hope you find Textfugu a much better resource!
Welcome and good luck with your studies!
CassandraHi Lukas – welcome and good luck with your studies!

I signed up and am excited to start!
Where are you guys getting the Japanese subs?
Hi Helen – welcome! I’ve never heard anyone with ambitions to be a charter accountant for a car company. :) I take it you are already an accountant? Good luck with your studies!!

Jamie – I will definitely agree that learning a language helps one look at the world differently! It’s a great experience. Good luck with your studies!

I’m glad you were able to figure it out! :)
I am extremely impressed by Astralfox’s hours… wow!!! My best year was 400 hours (RTK, I love and hate you). If I continue at my current pace, I’ll end up around 300-350 hours this year.
Michael – I’ve watched the first couple episodes of 電車男. I didn’t download the Japanese subtitles, though, just watched it without any subs. I understood a lot more of what was written than what was spoken. lol.
マーク – I agree with you about finding something that interests you and immerse yourself in it. That still requires a learning curve, though. Most of what I read in English is too difficult for me still in Japanese – the Bible, religious nonfiction, American/British classics, biographies, and a smattering of modern novels. There is no way I could pick up a biography in Japanese and understand enough to actually find it enjoyable.
I’m a housewife and enjoy cooking so I’ve been reading some cooking books in Japanese and found a couple of blogs to follow. I haven’t done much with the blogs, though. I push myself to study every day and have been, just not enjoying it as much lately as I have in the past. It’s more of a chore to complete than something fun to do.
Mary, I have no doubt you’ll succeed. :) An Asian Philosophy class sounds really interesting. It’s too bad you’ve run out of courses!
If you have any questions, please post in the forums. Someone is bound to chime in. lol
CassandraHi Nick – welcome and good luck with your studies!

After such an awesome month in March, my April studying has been minimal so far. Most days I just don’t feel like studying. lol. I put a lot of effort into reading Japanese books last month and I think it wore me out. I really need to get back into my book, especially since it’s due back to the library soon… I’ve been thinking about digging out Bakuman again. I tried reading it early last year but was frustrated at how little I could understand even though I’ve seen the anime.
Today’s Anki session is done. I am keeping up with Anki at least. I reached 500 words on Core6k and finally ran into a couple I didn’t already know. I figure the unknown words are going to increase from here on out, though I just ran across a couple color cards. I learned those several years ago! I have to stop adding new cards on Sunday to let my reviews die down a bit before I leave for vacation on the 21st. I’ll be taking my laptop with me but expect to be rather busy and I don’t want to come home to hundreds of overdue cards.
What is everyone else up to? Any inspiring stories to help those of us who need to rediscover their drive to learn? ;)
Welcome and good luck with your studies!
