Thanks for the recommendation on the pizza. I’m noting down the restaurant name! My husband LOVES pizza. We were in Seattle in October and visited Nova Pizza. It was really good.
Can’t wait to join you for the rain! lol. I have been in Arizona for 14 years and I’m rain deprived. I really can’t wait to see the other end of the spectrum. Thanks for the warning on people moving there at the same time. Probably means we’ll have competition on apartment hunting. Ah, well. We just figured out in the budget when we would have enough money to move and it happened to be end of June. Can’t wait!
Thanks for letting me blab on about moving. ;) I’m really excited. Again, welcome to the forums!

I just tested myself on an RTK1 kanji in my Anki deck. Marked that kanji easy and now won’t see it again for 2.7 years. I remember when I was impressed that I wouldn’t see a card again for 1 year. Making progress!
Reiden – Do you want me to delete your address from your post?

Eddie, the cheapest way of getting a subscription is to sign up for a free account and then let your trial expire. Check your email everyday because they will send bigger and bigger discounts each day to get you to come back. Wait until you can afford one of the discounts and then sign up for a Basic account. It’s a lot cheaper than Premium and it sounds like you just need the podcasts themselves and maybe the PDFs (both included in basic). You should be able to get a year’s subscription for $25 or something. It’s totally worth every penny!
Hi Dilemma. Welcome to the forum!
Have you tried using new vocabulary in sentences? Even if you know basic grammar, you can still start using some of your new vocab. That might help a bit with the tedium.
Welcome and good luck with your studies! Third time is a charm. ;)
~CassandraI second the nomination for JapanesePod101 if you’re looking for audio lessons. You’ll have to search around a bit to find out which level you should start at, based on your existing knowledge. But it’s a cool website.
Koichi – I’m using the newest version of Opera. I’ve found that I can click on the icons but it requires clicking my mouse in the exact center of each icon. It’s very picky, because if I don’t center it exactly right, I can’t click on anything! It’s probably just my browser and I’ll get used to it. ;)
