Howdy Brennen! Welcome. :) Good luck with your Japanese studies!
~Cassandra
Thomas – welcome! I think it’s cool to learn just for the sake of learning. Though I hope to have an outlet for Japanese someday, who knows if we’ll actually make it over there! :)
Good luck with all of your studies!
~CassandraToday I worked on “it seems” as in “this fish seems fresh.” Fun stuff!
Victoria, I started learning Japanese because my husband was obsessed with it. He wanted to travel to Japan someday. Well, I hate looking like a typical tourist (no offense to tourists) so decided I would learn the language before we go. Our trip is probably still a few years off but I’m chasing that dream of becoming fluent. I fell in love with the language and culture myself so… :D
Hi Jacob! Welcome and good luck with your studies!

Howdy! What an awesome birthday present. :) Good luck with your studies! Japanese can seem scary but TextFugu really breaks it down into manageable pieces.
Good luck with your studies!
CassandraHi Victoria! Welcome! Bummer on your high school not offering Japanese. Mine didn’t either. We just had options of Spanish or French. I took Spanish.
Anyways, good luck with your studies!
~CassandraYay! I was wondering where you had disappeared to. :) Welcome back and get cracking on those studies!!

Hi Katrina! Very interesting intro. :) You should like someone who would be fun to know in real life. I agree with you about the aesthetics of Japanese. It’s such a beautiful language!
Good luck with your studies!
~CassandraHi Ryan, welcome to the forums! TextFugu should be a great resource for you. Just work on that consistency! :) I find it helps to set a reasonable goal of how much time you want/need to study every.single.day. Then do it. Just do it. No choices. It’s a part of your life now.
Good luck with your degree! I hope you are able to return to Japan and work in your field.

James – yay for booking a ticket to Japan! Way to go on having concrete motivation to study. ;) Good luck with your studies!

Michael – I’m envious and admiring your bravery at the same time. ;) lol. I have no speaking practice and I’d probably be sitting there ummming and such too. I hope you get another practice session! The next one will probably be better simply because you got the first try out of the way.
Lynndsay – welcome! How great that you’re in Japan for awhile and decided to learn the language. Good luck with your studies! If you need any help, just post on the forums and someone will answer your questions. :)
Welcome and good luck!
