Somewhere during Season 5, there should be something telling you to add the Ultimate Vocab Deck 3 to Anki. This apparently doesn’t happen anywhere in the text, so you end up adding Deck 2, then Deck 4.
Deck 3 can be found here:
http://www.textfugu.com/downloads/anki/vocab/ultimatevocab3.zip
It is actually there in the text, but due to an incorrect next page link it get’s skipped. The Skipped page is Season 5 level 3-8. You can click on it from the lesson menu and see it or just go here. http://www.textfugu.com/season-5/dict-verbs/3-8/ Makes me wonder how many other pages have been skipped along the way.
Not trying to turn this into a complaint thread, I mean I should be completely done by now, but TF has been down hill since season 3. Things like this really make me want to ask for my money back but I keep holding out hope for the update.

I’m using sub decks as of anki 2.0 and season 3. I doubt there is much difference as far as TF is concerned.

May 19, 2013 at 11:04 am in reply to: TextFugu Season Completions for Great Motivation of Heart! #40077Congrats on jumping back on the train Wasif Asif!
I finished season three a few days ago but wanted to get all the verbs down before moving on. Only six of them are giving me any problems now so I’m going to continue on to season four.
I also started WaniKani and am on level 3 there. So I have removed all my textfugu kanji from my anki decks. There are only a few that I had on TF that I don’t have on WK yet and I think I’ll have them as soon as I guru the level three radicals, tonight or tomorrow morning.
Anyway, still loving the journey.
Thanks tsetycoon13 and Joel.

That is great advice, though I actually stumbled upon it myself when I got started again. Even though the Anki app is a bit pricey, at least for iphone, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Even on my busiest days I have been able to keep up with my reviews on it.

I didn’t intend to take that long of a break but changing jobs coupled with a long commute then finally moving in late December really took its tole. So I finally got back into it a restarted season two a few weeks ago. It feels good to be learning again.
Yeah it took me a while to realize that too. It gets worse later on in the season though. Regarding the On’yomi for 川 textfugu says “Why waste brain energy on a reading you won’t use for a long time” then the first thing Anki wants for it in the Kanji list is the On’yomi. The time it took me to download and import into Anki was not a “long time.”

Like Boeding I have only completed season one. I finished it a few months ago and knew I wanted a lifetime membership so I waited until I could justify affording the purchase. I will be spending 30 min a day on my studies, more when I can but never less.
Thanks for the tips about splitting the vocab decks. I’ll make use of that when I get there. Anyway I’m off to start season two. Hopefully it wont be too long before I come back to say I’ve completed season two.
