3DS is region locked but the DS isn’t. I’m not sure about the PS2, I know it’s region locked for PAL/NTSC but I’m not sure if Japanese games work on US systems since they are classed as NTSC-J. PS3 is totally region free for games though, I’m slowly making my way through Yakuza Kenzan on there.
I don’t think this is really worth worrying about because if you are learning vocab you will automatically learn when to use which reading. It’s pretty annoying when you are only used to learning vocab using kana but you soon adjust to kanji.

I wish I never bought Anki on iOS, I don’t even use it now because the iKnow app is better and that site covers all of my current SRS needs. (it’s also truly cross platform with no finicky syncing)
I had issues getting it to work reliably too, now I just use iKnow instead, works way better across devices. Wish I knew about it before paying like $25 for Anki.

Although I’m mostly playing with 3 friends already so a full party. D:
Club football *snore*
I do look forward to Germany annihilating everyone else at the Euros though. ;)
Having no new lessons for around 2 months (if the June prediction is correct) is pretty annoying though, I’m so glad I’m not paying monthly right now.

Well this is a bit disappointing, I’m fine with the site how it is to be honest and would prefer new lessons. I’m not that bothered but it does seem a bit of an odd choice to me, then again I thought the site was fine during v1!

I went to study today, and then suddenly: Diablo III invites. Everywhere.
You shouldn’t be ashamed of an emotional reaction to something like this impacting your studies, they can’t really be prevented. Take the weekend off and try to get back to some form of normality on Monday.
You download the course content on the iKnow mobile apps, so it’s possible it’ll work offline. I’ll try it out, of course like Anki it can only operate on the last time you synced so it’s probably going to be slightly out of sync but it might work.
Edit: Just tried it, it works offline! Audio/images all work fine.

I like that song a lot even if it is an odd choice for a game set in that era. I imported that game and it’s pretty great, the font is easy to read for kanji too so I can recommend it wholeheartedly! (no western localisation)
Having to make Anki keep everything in sync, including on my phone and iPad is more hassle than its worth. The Anki iPad app is just annoying as hell when it comes to the media syncing, so for me iKnow is worth it alone because I can use it on anything with a web browser or an Android/iOS tablet or phone. It’s certainly possible to get everything up and running on Anki, but I think syncing is annoying for that application. I’m with Elenkis 100% on this, the iKnow style of things is nicer to use than Anki’s cards too.
I realise I’m a pretty specific case but getting Anki to work perfectly across my laptop, PC, Android phone and iPad was just incredibly annoying at times, it’d often have a mishap with the sync counts and let’s not even discuss how annoying media syncing is on anything except computers.

Pfft that’s nothing, a guy from my school is called Bates (last name) and he’s an only child so he becomes Master…bates. That one went around school for a while.
