Tae Kim’s guide says you can use たい to ask if someone wants to do something.
Also, although Textfugu doesn’t answer that particular question, the example sentences include questions with たいですか.
I think using present progressive could technically work, since asking if you will eat is sorta the same as if you want to eat..
I think posting an entry in Lang 8 would help. Use that phrase and see if it gets corrected. :)

=^..^=I looked them up on good ol jisho.org and going though the sentences, it looks like 夕べ is usually translated as “last night” and 夕 is just “evening” (or used in jukugo).
However it looks like you can also pronounce 夕 as ゆうべ even without the hiragana present, so who knows what that means lol.

External links=^..^=As a person who learned it as くないです and never heard of adjectives with ありません, this makes me feel scared, lost, and confused. I really need to hit the grammar books again, and hard.

One person and two people are oddball pronunciations. ひとり and ふたり while the rest use にん
=^..^=I think it’s good to learn to write both the kanas. There really isn’t that many of them so I feel it’s worth it.
=^..^=Some of the books content is covered in TF and some of it is not.
=^..^=Lol and I still use that rhyme sometimes to figure out how to spell a word. No wonder it just confuses me more. Also I’ve heard the ending “or when sounding like A as in neighing and weigh”

=^..^=Its a “Pre-noun adjectival” according to denshi jisho. I always thought of it as adjectivey but never confused it with い or な adjs.
=^..^=あの is the adjective version so your first sentence is wrong.
It’s the difference between “that is cool” and “that cat is cool” (both being that over there)
あの comes before a noun and あれ IS the noun.=^..^=Must be flash or something. Doesn’t work on my iPad. :(. Oh well time to use my laptop!!
=^..^=I can’t explain the detailed reasoning but I believe it’s just the standard formula for using つもり with nouns
